Why does this game need permissions to launch? I really want to play but I'm getting multiple warnings from my computer not to. I can download other games just fine
I'm not sure why, it's just false positives though as there's no virus or anything attached and is just a "unknown publisher" warning. I've heard of others having to bypass the warning, but I haven't heard of getting multiple warnings before. From what I've been seeing, the process of "signing" a program isn't free and takes some time so I haven't done that for Gyakuten Live yet.
(I should add that if you're on Windows 10 or so, you can download despite the warning by clicking "more info" first and then choosing "run anyway")
I have to say I'm hooked! I have no idea what Love Live is (had to google it to find some kind of context), but I wanted to play anyway since I looove the Ace Attorney style! I did have to consult the walkthrough for help some times, but I'm not mad. It's just so fun! Just finished 2nd episode, about to start the 3rd, but I'm mostly here to say I loooove the puns!! My kind of humor haha (I'm a total Ai, I guess?) I keep laughing at how much I don't understand about the plot hahahah what are school idols? I'm so out of the loop. I do like a bit of anime and japanese culture, but aparently not enought :( I hope my ignorance is not offending anyone! What I meant is I'm truly having so much fun with the game and seeing how far can I go with knowing as little background as possible (more detective work?)
Sorry for making this so long! Apart from all that, just meant to ask one thing: Is the "original" game made in English? Cause I kept wondering everytime a joke was made (great jokes, by the way!) if it would traslate as well in other languages, and I had an inkling that it was originally written in japanese. Just curious! (I study translation).

"School Idols" don't exist in real life, in the Love Live universe they're essentially students who form self-managed "idol groups" as extracurricular activities.
The Love Live series is Japanese, but this game is originally written in English. Some episodes have been translated into other languages, including Japanese.

Okay, I almost never do this, but I had to create an account here just to congratulate you on this incredible game. I thought I was going in for some goofy, charming mess of a fangame that I just had to check out.
Turns out, this is ACTUALLY GOOD. First of all, I absolutely ADORE how shameless this is Ace Attorney. The name, the sound effects, all the presentation. This didn't try NOT to be Ace Attorney for a second, and I LOVE IT. I was taken aback by this having an actually animated opening, and the OST is original too, while being very close to Ace Attorney.
As a big fan of the series, I want to say that this work blew me away, and I intend to support it financially in a moment that I'm not broke like I am right now. Please, keep up the good work! This needs to get seen! This needs to go viral! There's so much heart in it, I want everyone to see it!!
I've had issues with loading save files in chapter 3.
I saved and quit in when I first entered Yohane's room when the options to investigate etc. came up, but when I loaded the file, I was back at Yuhi Falls.
Later, I saved in the street after breaking Yohane's psyche locks, and loading that file put me back before I'd broken the locks.
game soft locks if you fail to break the third Yohane psyche lock, happen to me twice now, also a nice QoL feature would be a chapter select for the individual episodes like in the apollo justice trilogy

Also, I am planning to add mid-episode select as soon as I can get the achievements system in!
happens when presenting wrong evidence on the "final" testimony. thought it was fixed, but it happened during a moment where the health bar was oddly missing. ver 3.0.1
I can't seem to recreate this error. My saving and loading have been fine. Perhaps you have files from an older version of the game? If so, navigate to C:\Users\(Username)\AppData\Local\Gyakuten_Live_ and delete or remove the problematic files.
I'll make a post to my Twitter to see if anyone else is having the issue. Is it happening every single time you try to load a file or is it only happening after a certain series of inputs?
this is ASTOUNDING! oh my god, i cant believe how good this is. the art, the music, the writing, it's all perfect. had a great time playing case 1 with my friend, cant wait to keep going!
I'm a big fan of Ace Attorney and Love Live, so seeing a game that put this two things together, is like a dream that i never knew that i had come true, the soundtrack, the gameplay, the art, everything is so good! Thank so much for this, i had alot of fun with the two first cases, waiting excited for the next case!
I saw the first episode on Youtube and played the second and I must say, me who's from the Ace Attorney fandom have really enjoyed this game! The amount of references is just absurdly funny I had to laugh when Dia mentionned the circus or when they said that the One piece is real ^^.
Also the work on the sprites is kinda impressive for a one person game(most of it it would seem) and the osts are absolute banger especially the Pursuit one and its variation. I really hope that this game goes on with on great it is right now, I've even noticed the implementation of some mechanics from DGS. Sure the second episode was really long but I can't say I would like to play more of it

Just found a glitch, presenting Ruby's profile to Yoshiko presents Hanamaru's instead.
Ok so when you go back to Yoshiko's apartment, presenting Ruby's profile works correctly, so it's only incorrect for the first time you go there.
